A dedicated sitarist and a passionate music producer who started playing at an early age of ten, first learned from his father Master luthier Sanjay Sharma (Rikhi Ram)
A true descendant of the esteemed Rikhi Ram Family of luthiers and, the youngest and last disciple of Sitar Maestro Pandit Ravi Shankar. After Pt. Ravi Shankar’s unfortunate demise, Rishab continued his Sitar training under Pt. Parimal Sadaphal. Rishab has learned from great maestros such as Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Ustad Rais Khan, Pt. Arun Bharatram and more. Has many accolades to his name. To name a few, performed at Woodstock 50 year anniversary, Nominated for 30 under 30 by Hindustan Times for 30 young Indian achievers of 2021 & appeared as a soloist at the Howdy Modi 2019 Rishab is now living in New York, USA to spread the knowledge of the teachings of the great Pt. Ravi Shankar and sacred Indian classical music. He is also a professional music producer and a recording engineer. |
